Bram Wits has served as an Agriculture Counselor at the Dutch Embassy in Ghana since February 2018. He is the first Agriculture Counselor in West Africa for 25 years. From his workplace in Accra, his working area consists of the countries of Ghana and Nigeria.
In recent years, Bram Wits worked as a political advisor to State Secretaries of Agriculture Sharon Dijksma and Martijn van Dam. He studied history and international relations. Wits previously worked at a campaign agency in Amsterdam and at the Youth Food Movement. He has been active for years around the global world food issue. He is convinced that Dutch agribusiness can play an important role in solving the issue.
