Oyin Asaaju is the Founder of Farm Republic, an agribusiness that creates market access for Nigerian farmers. She is a graduate from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta and holds a Master’s in Business Administration. Her expertise spans across, business commercialization and project management.
Her journey into Food and Agriculture started in 2013, at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, where she worked through the ranks as a pastry chef, sales and marketing associate, to become a project manager in 2016.
Until 2021, she worked as program manager at the World Hunger Fighters Foundation (WHFF); an agricultural foundation by Dr. and Mrs. Akinwunmi Adesina, designed to develop a new generation of agribusiness professionals, across Africa. She moved on to work as commodity and marketing manager with Julius Berger Nigeria Agribusiness division, and as Head of Agribusiness at HerVest for Women till December 2022.
Oyin, with a decade of experience in the agriculture industry, is a seasoned speaker with presentations in Nigeria and outside its shores, at programs organized by the MasterCard Foundation, UCDavis, African Development Bank, Nestle, FARA, IITA, etc. She is passionate about the development of the Nigerian Agricultural Sector and also leads Little Kindles Africa, a charity organization that supports the education of underserved children.
